Redmi 6 Pro from Xiaomi is one of the latest phones from the company which was launched in September 2018. It is one of those phones which has made the market more versatile since the price of the phone was kept at Rs 10,999. This range is definitely the most famous range in India and almost all the best selling phones in India are priced somewhere near the price of the Redmi 6 Pro.
Xiaomi has made India a huge market for them. Coming to the phone, this device rocks a 5.84-inches touch screen display with the resolution of 1080 pixels by 2280 pixels which is definitely enough for the size. Watching movies and playing games on this device is a treat for anybody. Speaking of games however, it is necessary that we discuss about the processor inside of this device as well. This device has a two gigahertz Octa Core processor with 4GB of Ram and 64GB of internal storage. Such specifications in such low prices is what Xiaomi has been offering to the Indians and the world for so long now.
The storage of the phone can be increased externally by using a MicroSD card of up to 256 GB which is absolutely more than enough. Most people these days use smartphones for gaming and photography purposes. The processor is really good in this phone but we should also discuss about the cameras. This phone has a 12 megapixel primary camera and 5 megapixel secondary camera, which is also often referred to as the selfie camera. It cannot be said that the camera is too good but it is of course decent.
Many phones in this price range offer a much better camera, such as the Honor 9N or one can also increase the budget a little bit and try for better looking phones with better cameras. There are no complaints about the performance and that is exactly what we expect from Xiaomi devices but the camera could have been a little better.
The battery which the phone has is also one of the pros for the device. It consists of a 4000 MaH non-removable battery which claims to give you a usage of one day without recharging.
The notch design of this phone is not something that I am a fan of. This is generally because it looks weird for some reason and it completely ruins the whole design of the phone. Many phones in this range come with really good design and in comparison, this one stands nowhere near.
People who have used the phone say that the camera performance is really bad, specifically in low-light. In my opinion, Xiaomi could have made the camera much better for this price since they have other devices also at lower prices but with better cameras (both primary and secondary).
The build quality of the phone is really good and that is something which should be appreciated. It seems as if the error of hybrid sim slot has gone and dedicated MicroSD card slot is what almost all phones are offering these days. So, the storage is nothing that one should be worried about. The battery life and the display of the phone is really good.
Even though it gives the opportunity to have dual sim along with a microSD card, it does not support dual 4G VoLTE which is again a downfall.
The phone comes in many colours and a good display which might be the priorities of many people opting to buy the phone. If you are one of them, you should not wait at all. This phone might just be the perfect phone at the perfect price for you. But people who are more into camera and high-level performance would be a little disappointed with the handset.
